Shark Tale was produced in 2004, by Dream Works’ Animation. The son of a shark mob boss is found dead, and Oscar was found at the scene. Will Smith is the voice of Oscar. Oscar takes credit for killing the Shark, and he becomes popular. Angie worked with him at the local Whale Wash before he became popular, and has a huge crush on him. Lola is the fish that only dates, depending on the fish’s social standing. Lola is very good looking but shallow, and Oscar likes her. Oscar finds himself lying to everyone, and Lenny the Vegetarian shark whose brother had died tries to help him. Lenny and Oscar devise a plan, to get them both out of trouble.
This movie kept me laughing. Although it’s animated, it’s more appropriate for teenagers of age 13 and older. There are things in this movie unsuitable for children. It refers to: gambling, gangsters, stereotypical features, inside jokes relating to the god father, and metaphors about being homosexual. Not one of these topics is suitable for children, which is the targeted audience. I love this movie, but I wouldn’t recommend available for children under 13 years old. I rate this movie an A-.
This movie is so adorable! My favorite character totally has to be Lenny the shark. This movie is so in the A ratings for me also.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds interesting, but not enough to make me want to go out and find a copy. Is there anything special about it?
